Restaurateur - Chef Alvin Koh, also known as the Sensual Chef in Asia, will be celebrating his one year anniversary with his Singapore Heritage Restaurant in Surry Hills.

Celebration as the dictum!
In conjunction with The Singapore Heritage Restaurant’s first year anniversary, Alvin and his team will be launching a month long promotion to the public with “The Singapore Hawkers’ Fair” at their large courtyard area of their restaurant located on the St Margaret’s’ complex on Surry Hills.

The Singapore Hawkers’ Fair

Singapore is well known for her explosive & colorful street hawkers’ food. During the 30s – to the early 80s, street hawkers with their homemade delicious recipes are found on very corners of the island. For 3 generations Singaporeans literally grow up eating from the streets, and that was before the government illegalizes the hawkers and institutionalized them into food courts.

With the hawkers’ fair you will be taking on a journey back in time; to the reminiscence of the 70s where “Food is Love” – The Singapore’s Style!

The Hawkers’ Fair will officially start on next
Tuesday 29th of April until the 30th of May 2008.
Fair’s opening hours:
Every Tuesday – Thursday from 6:30pm till 10:30pm.
Location:
423 Bourke St, the St Margrets’ complex, Surry Hills.
